The 17th of May one of the most significant milestones is passed, namely the First Fire at Unit 10. This milestone marks the actual transition from cold to hot commissioning phase.
Having accomplished the chemical cleaning in week 13, the contractors on site recently have been busy with finishing outstanding erection and commissioning tasks for the systems being relevant for First Fire.
The pressure tests are now completely done, and boiler 10 is filled with conditioned demin-water in order to have proper conservation until First Fire.
Moreover in the UMC building the commissioning oil flushing of the MAV system has been set forth, after the Power Train (PT) was finally aligned. This flushing cycle turned out to be more time consuming than expected, as recently a source of debris within the oil pipes has been detected. The affected piping system has been dismantled and cleaned accordingly. Flushing is scheduled to be finished within the next days.
Apart from the aforementioned, the commissioning of the skid-based auxiliary systems for the GT has been going on, as well as other pre-conditional systems for example the fire fighting/detection have been put into operation.
Opening the main gas pipeline at the 02UEN gas system can be considered as a further highlight in the month of April. Setting up the T3000 DCS (Distributed Control System) further and loop checking are ongoing issues.
