Operations on Enecogen has commenced
At the end of October 2011 the construction works were completed, followed by a 20-days reliability test and plant acceptance. Since the beginning of November 2011 the plant has been in commercial operation for our customers.

Partnership
The Enecogen power station is a partnership between Dutch Eneco and Danish DONG Energy. The gas-fired power station is part of both companies’ ambition of providing clean and reliable energy.
Efficiency
Enecogen, one of the cleanest and most efficient gas-fired power stations in Europe, with a very high efficiency above 59%, maximized flexibility and low nitrogen oxide emissions. The plant will supply electricity to more than 1.4 million households.
Planning and budget
The construction of Enecogen is complete within planning and budget. After a construction period of only 30 months the power plant with a capacity of approximately 870 megawatts (MW) was handed over by Siemens Energy to the customer on October 21, 2011, 20 days ahead of schedule. Earlier completion during 2011 of the electrical and gas interconnection works by Joulz and GTS supported the successful commissioning and start up.
Safety
The Project construction works was completed with excellent safety statistics: 2 lost time incidents with slightly over 2 million manhours worked. During peak time nearly 920 employees of more than 30 contractors were working on the project site.
In addition to the construction works a complete asset organisation has been established for the operational phase.
