Eneco is the largest Dutch owned energycompany with approximately 7,000 employees. Eneco has an integrated distribution strategy covering the generation, transmission, supply, metering and billing of gas, electricity and heat for 2 million customers. In 2030, Eneco’s energy mix will consist of several types of sustainable electricity, heat and gas. That’s why we invest in solar energy, biomass and wind in various West European countries.
In cooperation with partners, we also develop bio-fermentation installations for agriculture and industry. We’re also active on a local level, with consumers and companies, to establish self-sufficient energy supply by providing for example solar panels. Gas, the cleanest fossil fuel, will continue to play a strategic role. Efficiently fuelled gas plants, like Enecogen, combined with sub-ground gas storage, provide Eneco the required flexibility for its electricity production.
